Return, Cancellation & Reship Policy
At BreakoutLabs, all test kits are processed through CLIA/CAP-certified laboratories to ensure clinical accuracy, safety, and compliance with federal health regulations. Because each kit is linked to personal health data and biological samples, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds once an order has shipped.
This policy is required under HIPAA and laboratory safety guidelines to protect your privacy and maintain the integrity of all collected samples.
The Answers Guarantee
Complete your test and you'll get a personalized action plan built from your biomarkers and your intake β what's likely driving your breakouts, and exactly what to do about it.
If we can't give you that, we'll refund your kit in full.
This applies to the test kit, once per customer, and requires a completed test with a returned sample. Approved refunds go to your original payment method within 5β10 business days.
What if my results come back in normal range?Β That's a real finding, not a dead end. In-range hormone and metabolic markers tell us your breakouts likely aren't driven by a systemic hormonal imbalance β which points us toward diet, skin barrier, or routine instead. Your action plan is built around whichever picture your results show, and your guarantee is fulfilled either way.
Before Shipment
If your order has not yet shipped, you may request a cancellation by contacting us immediately. Please emailΒ Β or call/text +1 205-291-1433, and our team will assist you right away.
Damaged, Lost, or Incorrect Items
If your kit arrives damaged, missing components, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll reship your kit at no cost. Please include your order number and any relevant photos to help us resolve the issue quickly.
Exchanges & Returns
Because our test kits contain regulated medical materials and are connected to protected health data, returns and exchanges cannot be accepted once shipped. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be processed.
Refunds
Refunds are available for orders cancelled before shipment, in rare cases where BreakoutLabs is unable to fulfill your order, and under the Answers Guarantee described above. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method; please allow 5β10 business days for your bank or card provider to process the credit.

You'll receive an email reminder before your first membership charge.
Cancelling or Pausing
You can pause or cancel your membership at any time from the subscription page in your account β no phone call required. Cancellation takes effect for future charges; your current period continues through its end date.
If you cancel, you keep access to your results in your account.Β You'll lose the membership benefits: Derm in Your Pocket, Weekly Skin Rounds, and the free re-test every 90 days.
Membership Charges
Membership charges are for access to ongoing services and are not refundable once billed. To avoid a future charge, cancel before your next billing date β you can do this yourself from your account at any time. Any physical products shipped as part of a membership period follow the same non-returnable policy described above.
Why Ongoing Testing Matters
Your first panel is a baseline, not the whole picture. Re-testing shows whether what you changed is working β your recommendations evolve with your results, and our specialists can adjust your plan based on real data rather than guesswork.
Supplements & Other Products
Sealed, unopened supplements may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the product price. Opened supplements cannot be returned for safety reasons. ContactΒ Β to start a return.
